Solved Where is es_system.cfg?

I've expose hidden files and folder and opened /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation but it is nowhere to be found. All that's there is es_input.cfg, es_log.txt, and es_settings.cfg.

I've seen some file paths contain share_init da heck is that?

Yep you're right, it's in share_init : /recalbox/share_init/system/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

All I can see is share.

It's only accessible through SSH, not with your file explorer.
And you must change write permissions on partition / ( mount -o remount, rw /)

I'm trying to make a backup of es_system.cfg so that I can make a folder that uses the Sega Genesis theme and another that uses the Japanese Mega Drive theme and the same for Super Nintendo/Super Famicom per Nachtarm's instructions here: https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-themes/issues/131

Is there a guide somewhere on how to do this?
