No Sound Recalbox With New PS4 Controller
-
Hi i just bought a second PS4 Controller (original Sony) to use it on the Recalbox and found out you get no Sound on the TV if you use it (no audio problem with the old PS4 Controller bundeld with the PS4 or a Xbox360 Controler).
Not sure why dis is happening maybe the Recalbox trys to use the Controllers speaker.
If you looke closely at the Controller you can tell its some kind of new version (greyer Buttons and so on)In Kody the Sound works just fine withe the new Controller.
Im using recalbox v4.0.0 final on a raspberry pi 3 model b.

@Zetzner Hi
Does this controller have an onboard audio chip to connect a headset ? As you're on 4.0, you can't use connect your pad on bluetooth, so I assume you're on USB, right ? Do you have any link to this controller ?

I think it has an onboard audio chip but i am not sure.
Its connectet via USB yes.
Here is the link but its in German https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01GVQUX3U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Here a comparison Picture

@Zetzner This is what you should try (I hope you're a little familiar with Linux) :
mount -o remount, rw /
vi /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
- add
blacklist snd-usb-audio
- reboot

Did not work for me but im pretty certain i did something wrong but i found a workaround you just have to plug in the Controller after you start the Recalbox.
I can just use the old Controller on the Recalbox and the new One on the PS4 just wanted to report it because it's gonna happen to a lot more Users if they buy a PS4 Controller from now on.
Maybe someone with better Linux Skills can test it thanks for the Help.

@Zetzner but my solution would work for sure, even if your pad is plugged at boot
Anyway in 4.1 your ps4 pads will work in bt

@Substring 4,1 ? when this is gonna happen ?
