N64 & Losing the Will !

Been trying for days to get an N64 Emulator running without success, can anyone tell me just how they did it ?

I'm running a Pi 3
Recalbox version 4.0
32GB Card

I have the Z64 BIOS.7z
this is currently sat in the roms\n64 folder, I can't seem to find a wiki or manual on this site for N64, perhaps someone could point me in right direction.
