Hi Everyone, How to quit the game (and go back to ES) with the Wii Recalbox 8.0.1 ?
You cant.
It appears to be a bug, and when i questioned on Discord if this was being fixed in 8.1 I was told no. Seems bizarre to leave this unresolved, as anyone testing even 1 game would see they couldnt exit. Can only assume it may be an emu issue and not a config issue that IS fixable, hence no fix in 8.1My memory is hazy, but I think a Google / Reddit search mentioned something about attaching a keyboard and a ceretain button on that could exit the games.

- Edit recalbox.conf file by adding the lines:
gamecube.configfile=dummy
wii.configfile=dummy-
Then load any Wii or GameCube game and then exit with the keyboard by pressing ALT+F4
-
In the Dolphin menu go to “Options” and “Hotkey Settings”
Select your game controller and configure, if not, the shortcut buttons. -
Close everything and exit Dolphin
Ready now the settings you defined in Dolphin will be recorded and will no longer be reset.

@fredcsn Admittedly my memory is hazy, but I thought Alt & F4 exited Recalbox to a dos-like prompt ?
Or maybe that wa just F4....
Will try this tonight or tomorrow - cheers fredcsn -
@fredcsn Hi, finally got round to trying what you said, and in the options, selected my xbox360 controller, and made the big "Xbox" button the hotkey, which showed up as "Home" onscreen.
I exited out, but now, NO buttons respond, and thats all I changed.
Any suggestions ?Oh, as a side issue, I have just noticed there is no audio of any kind with the Gamecube or Wii games (ie anything from the Dolphin emulator).
I was doing testing before with the volume off to stop annoying the wifey, so have only just noticed.
Again, any suggestions / ideas woudl be great thanks. -
@fredcsn Hi, managed to figure out the audio issue - went to options, audio settings, and in backend settings, changed it from wasapi to culeb.
BUT, still no buttons being recognised on the controller, except the "hotkey" that I defined.
In the Dolphin settings, I even changed it to the detected xbox360 controller, but still no joy.... -
@rustymg You shouldn't use the big central "Xbox" button as the hotkey to exit.
Well, I don't use that button on my Xbox360 controller...
But use the little BACK + START buttons as hotkeys.
Note: Press the two buttons together (BACK+START) for the shortcut sequence to "exit"

@fredcsn yes, but, as per my post, NO other buttons work whilst in a Gamecube or Wii game. None. No up, down, left, right etc.
Did you whilst in the emu settings define ALL the gamepad buttons, or just the hotkey / exit game ones?
