@sismo99
Are these
https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Wireless-6-axis-Playstation-Charging/dp/B083TKJ9JH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
the Controllers you bought ?
If yes, have you read the Customer Reviews with 1, 2 or 3 Stars ?
Sometimes Bluetooth on these Pads didn't even work with the Sony PS3, so why should it work with Recalbox ?Here
https://wiki.recalbox.com/en/tutorials/controllers/controllers/ps3-controllers-drivers
it says Recalbox works with Official, Shanwan and Gasia Sony PS3 Controllers, but there is no word about a "Guo Hua" Controller.By the Way,
Wikipedia describes "Guo Hua" as a Chinese former professional snooker player.
Translated in English "Guo Hua" means "traditional Chinese Painting".
But it seems there is no "Guo Hua" Manufacture who produces Sony PS3 Bluetooth Gamepads. It's not personal, but why is everyone now trying to connect a Bluetooth-Controller to Recalbox ?
Just look around this Board and see how many Problems they got.
In the old Days we didn't have some fancy Bluetooth, our Controllers were connected with a Cabel to our Sega-, Nintendo- and Sony-Consoles and nobody did complain about that.So why not simply buy an USB-Controller (I'm using a Logitech F310 Gamepad), connect it to your Recalbox-Hardware (Rasperry Pi, PC or something else) and play ?
This works fine for me since years.
And if you don't like the Logitech Pad there are others you can choose from.
And even if you want a special Gamepad for every System you have on your Recalbox (for example one for Sega, one for Sony, one for Nintendo) you can do that.
Just turn your Recalbox off, remove one Gampad, connect another one, turn your Recalbox on (maybe you have to configure the Buttons) and play.
It's way easier and faster as to play around with a Bluetooth-Pad that, in the End, didn't work at all. -
@alvin Tjanks for your answer (i must say not a great one)
1.- First response, i did not bought the controllers on amazon i did it in a physical store in mexico, where i have bought before some shanwan controllers that worked great.
2.- Second response: the Bluetooth on the GUO HUA controllers actually work with PS3 the problem only is with recalbox
3.- Third response: you redirect me to the drivers wiki page and let me tell you that i know it, but when you bought a closed blister controller you cant check what firmware is in it right, only connect them
4.- Fourth response, The name the chinese guys give to the things they do its up to them, you are right GUO HUA means waht you say, but that does not make less true that the controllers have that kind of firmware or motherboard so i dont understand why you brought out that.
5.- fifth response: Recalbox its about to play the old games we used to play in our old consoles, and others that we didnt even know, but i think it is about the way you want to play and a i'm sure i am not the only one who wants to play with modern controllers to the old games, maybe cause they are more confortable, or maybe we are used to them, it is about the game not the controller
i am glad you like to play the old fashioned way but please respect the ones who like to play the modern way, and my question was for the people who can help, so thanks but your answer, was not to much help for the problem but anyway thanks

Sure, I "respect" you, but let's see how much "Support" you will get here (after 7 Days there is still nothing) for your **** Controllers from Mexico and how much this "Support" will help you,
Edit Scavy : absolutely no problem you help users, just use friendly words please...

@alvin I am amazed how true is the premise that when someone doesn't have any arguments they just can offend, you refer to my What? ?? controllers from mexico, i am sure that you do not mean anything about mexico right,
and about the support i dont care if i get suport for me just tought that this could help more people than me and if someone want to help welcome
if i get it or not it is not of your concern but i see you are a hater son good day i dont need anything from people like you

@sismo99 I'm sorry for the problem you're facing, and I ask that you don't be offended by the mistaken opinion of some users, it doesn't reflect the opinion of the Recalbox team, not even the majority of users.
As there are 2 joysticks with different drivers, Recalbox is probably not able to interpret the 2 settings, you can only define one driver, and the drivers may conflict with each other.
Unfortunately, the possibilities I know are the ones I mentioned in the post you mentioned that is the same problem as yours, so I don't know if there is any solution in this case, the fact is that the ideal would be to use only 1 type of driver, but , as you said, the manufacturer has distributed 2 visually identical joysticks, but with different drivers, which is not possible to distinguish until plugged into Recalbox.
This is a problem with cheap joysticks, and unfortunately the best way to guarantee a good result is to invest in joysticks for which the manufacturers are most responsible. -
@Zing I think this problem has somethin to do with the update of the bluez package, because in Recalbox 6.1.1 version the same controller with same driver works fine

bluez package
I'm facing the same issue, I updated recalbox, but nothing gone better.
The only solution is playing with the wire, even if the gamepad works fine with my PS3 wireless.
I read one of the solution was to downgrade but... recalbox team doesn't support older version anymore.
I hope someone will find a solution, I can read this issue is also on other distro
we will wait and keep faith

Had the same problem. I bought third party controllers and both were recognised as XBOX 360. So they didn't work via USB.
And here's the story. One of them, when You'll press combination of START+SELECT buttons switches it's mode from XBOX to Nintendo (left and right diode changes to the second from the left). From that moment using it with USB cable was ok, the next problem was BT pairing.
I switched the driver to automatic, entered pairing mode and had some tries with using reset button (the hole at the back of the controller), pressing P3 button at the same time, unplugging and plugging USB cable, finally making the device connected.
The second controller from the same vendor is not working at all, USB or BT. It works with PS3 Console, but no luck with Recalbox (I'm using 9.1). My guess is that the same hardware uses different firmware inside.
Maybe someone find this information useful and save some time and nerves trying to make work something that will not.
