How to delete or clean/reset all found controllers?
-
hi folks!
How to delete or clean/reset all found controllers esp. after change or removed the connection?
Which config file saves the controller setup?
I can't play PS1 atm. cause of something went wrong in the controller setup ... every controller is twice available (marked by #2) ... but can not delete it.

@ll2k21 Have you tried factory reset (in advanced settings)?
You will lose all custom settings, but keep all your personal data. -
@zing Hi,
Is there no other way ? I lost all my optimizations doing so, and to be honest it sucks. Now n64 is slugginsh with the default emulator, and most of the interface needs 100% redo...
Is there no way to just edit a file and remove all controllers ? I have a lit of 12 controllers, which was due to 3 faulty usb duosticks ps3 controllers from china... Now whatever i try, they are present, and the new USB pad cannot be assigned to any player...it sucks big time. And i am baffled to think there is no way. Even erasing the Emustation input.cfg doesnt do anything.
Please help...i worked on this image for months, and it was perfect until this.

@benzitor Answering to myself.
I found out that the Recalbox.conf holds the list of controller as an extra layer of emulation station autoconfig.The problem is that even if i erase the line, it all comes back...my 10 controller slots are full, and i have only 2 controller plugged and 1 in Bluetooth.
How can i remove these simple lines... ? where is the root config if not in the emustation files or the recalbox.conf ?
This is mad....really... some o the controller listed have not been hooked to my Pi4 since 2 months... why can't they just disappear ? Why can't emustation have a way to erase controllers, like we can forget Bluetooth ( which actually leaves the controller anyway in the list )
IT seems stupid, but what happens is that the whole thing prevents to add any other controllers, and be accepted ingame. Basically i can setup the controllers, use them in the interface, but since they are not assigned on any Player, ingame they don't exist...
And i basically cannot use my Wiimote dolphinbar combo.

@benzitor This will be fixed in the next release.
Until then, just open\\RECALBOX\share\system\recalbox.conf
find the linesemulationstation.padX=...
, delete unwanted pads, save the file and reboot your Recalbox -

Thanks a lot... it is such a huge deal of pain ... As i spent so much time configuring many sides to optimize all systems, and once i reset to factory...i lost all.
I will try what you said now.

@bkg2k I just tried, and unfortunately it all comeback...
For whatever reason
I have no idea where is the source that tells these are the controllers, and where is the order to copy these lines again... but man it is really annoying.emulationstation.pad8=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad5=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad9=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad1=05000000c82d00000161000000010000:8Bitdo SN30 Pro
emulationstation.pad7=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad3=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad2=03000000100800000100000010010000:Gamepad
emulationstation.pad0=030000005e0400008e02000014010000:Xbox 360 Controller
emulationstation.pad6=03000000790000000600000010010000:Microntek USB Joystick
emulationstation.pad4=03000000632500007505000010010000:ShanWan PC/PS3/AndroidThis list everytime. And the funny part is that the Pad0 Pad1 Pad2 are correct, and if i move them around, the Recalbox.conf is updated... and remain ok after reboot. I just don't get what the Mikrontek are here... I never even have one of these anymore.

@benzitor Oh I forgot: Use the webmanager to stop EmulationStation before editing
recalbox.conf
, otherwise when EmulationStation stops, it writes all the configuration back ^^
You can stop it also in SSH, using the commandes stop
