I try to get hires textures to run for Super Mario 64 (N64).
In my PI3b+ (Recalbox 6) I am able to set the Core in advanced emulator settings. In the Recalbox 7.1.1 the "core" setting is missing.

Is there a reason why? How do I enable the hires textures?
I copied the hires folder (in my case Super Mario 64) to the "hires_texture" folder and enabled the settings in the mupen64plus.cfg inside "/recalbox/share/system/configs/mupen64".

Is there now more to do or do I have to set the core like Glide64, etc somewhere else?

Have you tried to change the "emulator" (the name of the emulator and core are now in the same field)?

How do I enable the hires textures?

          Thanks for the links.
          Yes I tried this already.

But, on RECALBOX 7.1.1, I only have "mupen64plus" and "mupen64plus_nextgen" and "standard". Thats it. There is nothing with glide or rice in combination.
In RECALBOX 6 there was an extra field for "core".

Do i have to install RICE and GLIDE64 in addition?

From memory there was a mistake with the Pi4 build and some N64 cores were missed.
I read this was to be fixed in v7. 2, but I read whats in that release and couldn't see the fix (maybe I just missed it)

Hi, its not a 4gb version you need.
Its either a slower Pi3 that has all the cores present, or wait for the 7.2 update for the Pi4 that should have the currently missing cores.

7.2 looks to have a LOT of additions, so will probably be a while before being released.
