Cannot see Recalbox in Network
-
I can access it via the web interface which means it is connected to Wifi and everything.
But I cannot see recalbox in the Network, which would be much nicer for transferring Roms.
Also via the web interface I cannot see the readme files.Could this be some wrong (Network) Configuration on my Windows 10 PC?
Sorry, I don´t have any knowledge about this network stuff.Thank you

I never had success with Windows ever reliably showing any network devices, let alone Recalbox.
What does work reliably is calling the IP address through explorer.
Make sure it looks something like this:
\192.168.1.30\
(Note, it seems to get cut off, but it's 2 backslashes before the URL.)
You should be able to navigate to the ROMs folder from there.

Hi sag508,
thanks for your reply! When I do what you described I can access the Recalbox Manager, the same effect as visiting http://recalbox/ .
Here I can add and remove Roms, but it´s not convenient when I want to add alot of ROMs and I cannot see the readme files here.
Am I missing something? -
I cannot give you an answer in the near term, as I had to repurpose my raspberry pi for a short term project.
Double check that you're typing "\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" into Windows explorer (not internet explorer). Note it's two backslashes ( \ ) before the IP Address. I don't know why it keeps changing it to one.
I'll try to get you an exact solution that works for me, hopefully in the next few days.
Your other option is to mount a USB thumb drive and you can upload everything that way. (This is what I do. It's safer and I have had too many catastrophic failures to risk keeping everything on the SD card.)
You can also FTP into Recalbox as well.
Keep me in the loop in the interim.

@sag508 thanks, in the meantime I also realized that I can use FTP to access the SD Card. This is much better than using the web interface!

Great! I won't rush getting a solution to this, then. I still want to post a solution to this for future troubleshooters.

I got a moment today. Seemed to work fine for me without issue.
