@saver can you run again evtest with device 1 instead of 0 ?
-
@substring here it is.

-
@saver nothing seems to happen on your xinmo. Do you still have ghost inputs if you unplug your xinmo ?
-
@substring when the problem began i had those inputs even with the xin mo unplugged. Now i haven t try it again. I have already replaced the whole xin mo set exept the buttons, the raspberry pi , the sd card and all the cables. The only thing i haven t replaced yet is the screen because i haven t a second one. But i still have the problem. And it begins after 2 or three hours or more after switching on the console and not from the beginning. I made a second bartop cabinet with the same setup for my brother with no problem at all. Mine bartop has the problem. I am so desperate!
-
@saver you have to run evtest when the problem does happen, and run evtest on ech input device
-
@substring i tried yesterday to run evtest when the problem began again but i noticed that the pie was out of internret connection. Then i tried to connect to my wifi and i saw instead of my wifi key this https://postimg.cc/image/ilx9c1jkn/343a9b6e/.
I didn t touch anything. I think that if i manage to put my wifi key and connect to my wifi i will solve the problem. But temporarily. Can you think what is going on now? -
@saver the wifi key is encrypted (hence enc:) for security purpose
-
@substring so i guess this is not the broblem?
-
@saver nope. But why are you losing lan connection ?
-
@substring i realy don t know. But i have the same problem even without connection at all
-
@substring here is the evtes during the problem https://postimg.cc/gallery/2t129wh3w/b01e24f1/
And still is writing and writing and writing -
@saver
Could you post a picture about your connections INSIDE the bartop, buttons and joysticks. Mass (-) connection needs to be connected in chain from one button to the next, otherway you risk HF disturbances. Same problème for switching power supply units near the mass cables. If they have no metallic case and are from the type to put on the table near a notebook, or in socket far away, together with parallel mass wires, deadly.
Also it can just be a defect 5V power supply unit, because I read that it arrive after some time only. I would change this first. And take an 3A Aukru or Northpada -
Here is photos of my setup. I have built two identical bartop cabinets https://postimg.cc/gallery/20r8hezj0/026a7816/ with different screens one for me and one for my brother. Only mine has the problem. I replaced everything from my cabinet. Now the second player is unplugged. https://postimg.cc/gallery/10wc7yuzg/eff0777a/
I have followed directions from here
https://www.google.gr/amp/www.instructables.com/id/2-Player-Bartop-Arcade-Machine-Powered-by-Pi/%3Famp_page=true and here
http://youtu.be/hpLp929pM4cPs. I have my cabinet over my laptop and near my router. Is it a problem?

@saver
Did you also change the power supply of your PI ? Apart you have very long wires everywhere. I would first unplug the openend wires on the Gpio and not stay them connected with pluged encoder. If not this makes antenna. Also better to squize the oversize wires (as you did with power supply) instead rolling them up. But if you tell that the problem occurs after some time only, power supply is a possibility. Anyway it should be a pure hardware problem . -
most probably a generic ground problem ?
-
I have changed everything. Pi, micro sd, encoder, joysticks, all the cables including the power supply of the pi. All except buttons and screen. Generally i made the two cabinets with exactly the same way and i have the problem only in mine. Substring what does "generic ground problem" means? And what is the conclusion of the evtest i attached?

@saver
I have also see that you dig out the sound from jack. This must be a plug with 4 sections, like in the Wiki if not you short the composite video output, also on this jack. It may be not the base of your problems, but not healthy. Much better to dig out the sound from hdmi connector to the screen, with also better sound quality.
-
@dragu i had the problem even with the jack unpluged. I put the cabinet to another place away from the internet router and laptop to see if this is the problem.
-
I think that the problem is finaly solved. The last 7-8 days i have removed my bartop cabinet and put it away from my wifi router and laptop. I don t know yet which of those two caused the hole problem. Anyway everything it s OK now. Thank you very much for your help and support. Thank youuuuuu!!!

@saver glad you made it
