The PSPi uses the GPIO for the display and other functions. If you wanted to just use it with recalbox you could just install the drivers for the board on to recalbox. If you want to use the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi driver, you would lose the display functionality and have rewire everything. And even possibly the use of battery detection.
he PSPi uses i2c expander to add additional GPIOs if I’m no mistaken. Hence why if you run the joystick test from the terminal, you get things like GPIO 45,46,47, etc.

J'avais plus ou moins les mêmes problèmes au début, alors il y a des solutions. Tout d'abord il faut un écran, n'importe lequel en hdmi ou avec convertisseur vga. Le mieux est de le connecter en plus de l'écran LCD sur la sortie hdmi. C'est un début. Après il faut un clavier USB sur ta bécane, il marche toujours. C'est un Zero W ? alors Wifi est sur le board. Avec le CM3 j'ai utilisé un Hub pour les dongles. Après, si l'écran externe marche, on peut s'occuper du reste. Tu n'as pas besoin de Putty au début, il y a une connection terminal intégré dans Recalbox.

il faut utiliser winscp pour transférer les roms, le réseau limite les transferts à 400 mo si ta rom est plus grosse ça plante.
si tu ne vois pas les roms c'est que soit :

tu utilises un format non supporté tu ne transferts pas dans le bon dossier /recalbox/share/roms/psx
