So I've been transfering roms via windows explorer or my web browser.

But I never found out how to do it by just plugging it in a usb drive to the RPi and loading them that way.
I know you can play games off the USB drive but I'd very much like to just transfer them over?

After getting a music file that is in .ogg format (256kbps, 44100Hz),

Where in the file structure would I need to place the file in order for that piece of music to play just when that system page is accessed in recalbox?

Hi, I didn't want to necro the thread above from 2 years ago.
I'm unsure about its message and its instructions.

Is it possible to create folders within an emulator like Libretro FBA and name the folders after a specific genre like Shmup or Beat 'em up and have them appear on the game list?

If that is the case, could someone provide a clear set of instructions on how because I was not fully able to understand. No offense to @voljega

I heard that when gaming on PC, "Any emulator will have higher latency than the real hardware simply because the input/output has to go through the OS".

So would this be true for Recalbox/RPi since the RPi is basically a small computer and Recalbox is the OS?

I was wondering if playing SNES on recalbox is the exact same thing as playing on an original SNES console?
Say you used the same CRT TV for both and also used composite AV cables for both.
You also used a USB controller to connect to the RPi which is the only way I know of other than using something like this.

Would it be 1:1? Or would the RPi/Recalbox just lag a few ms behind the original hardware?

I don't really know the technical stuff behind emulation. I just want to replicate the same experience.

No, I didn't want to clutter up my games list.
I'm using composite out so the text is plenty small enough.

If I scrape, will I be able to turn off the game descriptions and other info that's on the screen and also keep the text size for the game list the same?

I tried using the action "remove region from game names" and nothing happens?

What is the easiest way to disable the regions in the file name?

eg.
(USA)
(EUR)

I already imported the roms into Recalbox.
I read that with retropie, you can edit an .xml file and do a mass rename for each system.

What are the available methods for Recalbox?

I looked in the Settings and System menu and also can change the level from basic to expert but I'm not seeing anything about being able to open a Libreelec configuration?

I have recalbox 4.02 installed.
I can't seem to find the network settings in KODI though.

I've read and watched guides but they call for an openelec menu which this verison of KODI doesn't have?

I have filezilla, didn't know it could be used with the Rpi.

But when I enter that into my browser I can't seem to drop in a theme that I found online.

If I use the jack on the RPi itself, isn't it 480i by default?

The wiki says nothing about changing it to 240p.
