After some testing, i discovered it happens to me if i have the enhanced resolution option and integer scaling on at the same time. If i turn off integer scaling, i get full 4/3 (game ratio is "Square Pixel" in emulationstation).
Is this working as intended?

I'm running on a RPI3. Like the title says, when i turn on the enhanced resolution option in the psx emulator, it makes the screen really small. It didn't do that before, i played the same game i'm trying now, Resident Evil 2, with the enhanced resolution option and it ran perfectly, no screen size change. So i believe it's something to do with the current update. Anyone know how to fix this?
@substring I just did what this post from another topic said to fix the yellow squares thing, nothing more.
"If you see yellow squares at the bottom then this means that Retroarch isn't loading a font.
You likely don't need to delete anything, just navigate to your Retroarch Config here: /recalbox/share/system/configs/retroarch/retroarchcustom.cfg
Then add this line to the Config: video_font_path = /storage/assets/xmb/retroactive/font.ttf"
@substring Well, if you don't know i guess i'm screwed. But, if it helps, it happened after i fixed another problem. I had the yellow squares thing in place of the fonts for FPS, save states etc. I found the fix in the forum, edited it into the config file, problem solved. I didn't change anything else on that file through.

I got no sound in games all of a sudden. The sound plays fine during boot and in emulation station, but it goes silent in games in all emulators. Was working fine yesterday!
RPI3 model b, latest stable version of recalbox, sound through HDMI on TV.
Update managed to fix the FPS display problem.
B*mp. Anyone? The fps display problem is really bad, i can't determine if any game is running badly or not without the fps counter
Hello, i'm running the latest stable version on a rpi3 model b.
My frame rate display in game is bugged, it displays as a bunch of yellow squares where the number should be.
Another problem i'm having is with Chrono Cross. The game is really slow in combat and is displaying a weird graphical glitches where everytime i leave the menu, it flashes on a zoomed in part of the menu, same thing happened in the transition from the opening cg.

I tried all options before, stable, unstable, beta and it didn't work. I guess it wasn't updating the config file or something when i was changing.

@oyyodams You mean the page it goes to when you put the recalbox ip in the browser? I'm there, but there's no "Support" option. Only monitoring, configuration, bios, roms, logs and links.

It's been a couple months since i last used my Pi and i see there's a new update but, when i hit start update, it says "No update available" but my version is 4.0.2 still. How can i fix this?

For 2D systems i THINK i have it figured out.
Regular 1080p TV, RPI 3.
Recalbox/Retroarch resolution is set to 720p.
Game ratio is Auto/Core Provided/4:3
Smooth Games is off
Integer Scale is off
Crop Overscan is on
Pixellate shader, filter is nearest and scale "Don't Care"
I have the resolution (Recalbox's not the TV's) at 720p because i read at more then one place that it's better then 1080p. Why exactly is that?
For Aspect Ratio i understood that basically had to choose between 4:3/TV look or 8:7 (1:1 PAR)/Correct Geometry. I picked 4:3
The pixellate shader is because, if i understood it right, it corrects all the problems that not using Integer Scale and bilinear filtering causes.
To finish with 2D games, i noticed one weird thing. In Skyblazer i get full vertical scaling, but in Final Fantasy VI, it's only full vertical scaling on the world map, i get very small black bars otherwise. Is this a game thing or something about the settings?
About PSX's 3D games, would the exact same settings work? I'm guessing the Pixellate shader would not correct the things it does in that case.

Hello, i'm using recalbox on a Pi3(model b) on a 1080p Sony TV.
First, a friend told me he read somewhere i should be running the games at 720p (CEA 4 HDMI) instead of 1080p (CEA 5 HDMI) any reason for this? Do the games look better at lower resolutions?
In the RetroArch menu on Settings > Video > Refresh Rate i have it at 60.000hz, so every game i play runs at 60 according to the framerate displayer. Should i be changing this for each game i play? Like if a PSX game runs at 30 fps on original hardware, should i change the refresh rate to 30?
I bought my PI3 with recalbox already installed, it came with everything but arcade games. Are those mame romsets the only way to get 0.78 roms? My college internet is very limited and they are huge, so i was wondering if i can find individual roms. I was only able to find one game that worked on normal rom sites, Cadillac and Dinosaurs. Every other game doesn't work.
