Hi, I'm new to recalbox and started on version 7.1. Ever since the update to 7.2 the AV out only shows a black screen and hdmi works ok. I went through the settings over and over again and didn't work. Did anything change in that aspect?

Hello! I've been out of the loop for a while and started tinkering again with my pi after 8.0 update. Everything works quite nice but I Still can't figure out how to fix non Retroarch emulators. I'm using a CRT via hdmi to component adapter at 240p. If I try playing any Daphne or Scummvm game the image looks squashed from the sides. I've tried messing with the emulator options in recalbox.conf but I see absolutely no change when running the game.
I'm using a Rpi 4 and recalbox 8.0

@zing when I get home I'll try but I also tried outputting sound through the audio jack and got the same issue.

Hi! I'm noticing cracking sound in retroarch based emulators and nothing I try fixes it. Sound in the menu works fine as in Daphne but not in retroarch. My setup is a pi 4 4gb connected via hdmi to component at 240p.

Hello. I've been having trouble with the PCSX Re-Armed core on my pi4. The games load without any problems and run nice but the controls don't work. I'm using an Xbox One S controller connected via USB and this is the only core that doesn't work. I've tried changing the controller type in the options but had no luck. I'm Using Recalbox 7.2.2 on a Pi 4.

Hello, I've been setting up my pi 4 using an hdmi to component converter to a sdtv tv. For the most part it works and looks good but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with the aspect ratio. Retroarch based emulators look great after tinkering with the scaling but non Retroarch emulators like Daphne look squashed with black bars on both sides. The same is true for the menu, even 4:3 themes look like they were set for a 16:9 screen. Thanks for any help.

Hello, I've been getting my recalbox working on my crt tv and it looks amazing! But I haven't found a 4:3 theme for it. Either links for themes are dead or they are for emulation station and lock up my recalbox. Any recommendations? Btw I'm running in 240p. Thanks

After a lot of research and trial and error I finally got it working but there was something that no one has mentioned before. I had to change my video driver in the config from "dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi4" to dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d. Trying different things I did manage to get video from the kms setting but it freezes at the recalbox slpash screen. (The one with the Pac-Man ghosts. Is there a way to get past the screen and load recalbox? BTW Thanks a lot for all your help!

@zing Hi, I'm using Recalbox 7.2.2 the problem occurs only using composite either set to 240p or 480i. I don't have another crt but I tested it on my lcd it does the same thing. Every emulator I try and even some text on the Recalbox menu exhibit the same problem. Sadly I don't have another cable for testing. The problem seems to be every time there fine dithering on screen. With HDMI on my lcd looks perfect but I got it for my crt.

Hi. I'm running my pi4 on 240p through composite and everytihing works fine I'm getting this weird colors on checkerboard patterns or text. Ive tried different scaling and filtering setting but it wont go away unless I stretch the image horizontaly way to wide to even play. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks!!

@digitalumberjack I do have the right cable. It worked with version 7.1 no problem. But since 7.2 nothing I do seems to work. I only get a black screen.
I'm not sure I have the global.videomode=default line. I'll have to check.
