Recalbox8 all emulators are not working
Hello,
I updated to the newest release and at first I could play everything but the next day the controller (Shawan PS3) did not connect again and every emulator gives and error message that either the ROM or the BIOS is corrupted.
I did a clean install but the problem persists.
Any ideas?regards,

RE: DVD device is not working
I work in IT
(but not on linux)
But meanwhile I did some further tests with openELEC and there the DVD device seems to be recognized but the power supply seems to be too low because it lags and the display turns of and on etc. -
RE: DVD device is not working
Can anyone shed more light into this? How can I check if the "driver" is missing?
-
RE: DVD device is not working
@Substring I am also not sure.
I was thinking about Kodi and DVD playback... -
DVD device is not working
Hello,
I bought an external DVD Device and want to connect it per USB to my recalbox on raspberry pi 3.
It seems to be regognized (dmesg output):
[ 1133.157280] scsi host136: usb-storage 1-1.4:1.0
[ 1134.155843] scsi 136:0:0:0: CD-ROM Optiarc DVD RW AD-7700S 1.B0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0
[ 1134.160049] sr 136:0:0:0: [sr0] scsi3-mmc drive: 24x/24x writer dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray
[ 1134.160680] sr 136:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0But I cannot access its contents. (I cannot mount it etc.) It everytime tells me that there is no medium inserted (I tried several CDs and DVDs)
I think there are two possible error causes:
- the device gets not enough power from the usb ports on raspberry
- there is no (correct) driver for that DVD drive installed
How can I check which cause is correct? I tried to connect it to my WIN 7 box and it works (so the device is not broken). I noticed that on windows it "spins up" but on recalbox it does not spin at all. Does this mean that there is not enough power? I think it can also mean that the os is not controlling it properly
Can anyone help me?

RE: ES BlackScreen after exiting game (Sound and Menu still working)

Use PS3 Clone (Shanwan) with USB and not with bluetooth?
Hello,
after some trouble with connecting my Shanwan clone per bluetooth I noticed some lagging and I wonder if it is possible to deactivate the bluetooth and use it as an USB controller with cable and no lagging.
Or are there any other gamepads similar but with no wireless support?

RE: a few beginner problems?
I FOUND MY PROBLEM
For one or another reason the ps3 controller support was set to 0 (!!!!)
I set it back to 1 and everything worked. I cant believe it.... -
RE: a few beginner problems?

RE: a few beginner problems?
I found a thread where some people had similar problems and they seem to solve it with a patched version of bluez:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/42/shanwan-ps3-controller-pi3-retropie-3-6-bluetooth-setup/126it seems that you need a forked version of bluez:
https://github.com/luetzel/bluezmore details on: https://luetzels.raspiblog.com/?p=1870
Maybe someone from the devs can fix the problem with this information?

RE: a few beginner problems?
Hello,
Now I have a BT Dongle from the compatibility list (CSL Nano) but still the same problem.
- I start the PI until ES is fully loaded
- I plug in my controller with USB
- after some time it starts vibrating
3a. if I now press the home button the blinking four LEDs turn to permanent two LEDs
3b. If I plug it off first and then press the home button nothing happens.
-
RE: a few beginner problems?
Hello,
my BT dongle arrive but it does not work either
I bought a CSL BT 4.0 pico(!) - not nano. But BT seems to work because it does find several BT devices.
But my gamepad is not found. I asked in IRC and got the steps:plug in BT dongle and start raspberry
after start plug gamepad per USB in and press home button
after some time (10 sec?) it should connect. But although everything is heavily blinking there is no connection.
Any ideas how to get more information or how to solve this issue?regards,

RE: a few beginner problems?
I changed the controller from "official" to "shanwan" but it does not help.
How can I disable sixad? -
RE: a few beginner problems?
I tried SNES. (as far as I know there is no bios for snes, is there?) But also the preinstalled roms are not working (no other system)
the rom sets (smc files) work on zsnes on my computer) -
a few beginner problems?
Hello,
my raspberry pi 3 arrived today and I first wanted to build an emulator box with recal box.
I downloaded recalbox beta 5 and the installation was no problem. But I have still some problems:
-
no emulator is working. It looks like the game is starting but the emulator station comes back at once (for every emulator and every rom; seems to be a general problem.)
==> Do I have to make some configuration before everything is working? -
I have a Dualshock 3 clone (Shanwan) and I connected it with USB because the internal Bluetooth is still not working.
==> everything works great except that the controller is constantly vibration (very confusing :-). Can I disable this? Is the internal Bluetooth working soon or do I have to buy a bluetooth dongle? with one is compatible and the cheapest
Can someone help me? Although I am a first time recalbox user I should have no problem with complex configuration files or if needed a little programming but currently I found no logs where I can find some clue where to start...
regards,
