    • Game Launch Errors - Need Some Help

      Hey everyone,

I’ve been having some trouble getting my games to launch on Recalbox, and I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

So here’s the issue- I’ve got everything set up, and most of the systems are working fine, but for some reason, certain games just won’t launch. Instead, I get an error message that seems to be related to the BIOS. When I was searching about this I came across these resources/articles https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/31280/games-are-not-launching what is splunk and as per them I’ve double-checked that I have the correct BIOS files installed (at least I think I do), but the problem still persists.

Has anyone else run into this issue? I’m wondering if there’s something simple I’m overlooking or if there’s a more technical fix I need to try. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks in advance!

      Best Regards,

    • RE: Issues with Displaying Photos and Videos on Recalbox

As per my knowledge For displaying photos & videos on Recalbox i have some tips that you can consider

Recalbox supports JPEG, PNG & MP4. Ensure files are correctly encoded.
You can place media in your media folder & creating subfolders if needed.
You can Adjust resolution and refresh rate in Recalbox settings.
Recalbox lacks a built-in slideshow feature. Consider using external apps.
High res files may lag. Try lowering resolution or bitrate & ensure proper cooling.
      Hope this help you😊

    • RE: where to find the MAME2003 plus original dat

Hello @Greg this is great to hear you found the MAME 2003 plus DAT file; Sometimes, files might not be visible or accessible directly from the SD card due to permissions or mounting issues.
When accessing files over a network, the file system might present a different view compared to direct SD card acces; This could explain why you didnt see them initially.

    • RE: Buy a Raspberry 4 or 5?

Hello @hansmaulwurf Welcome to the community. As per my knowledge If you are deciding between the Raspberry Pi 4 and the Raspberry Pi 5

Here are a few points to consider
      Performance
      Availability
      Budget and Requirements

If you need a Raspberry Pi immediately or have a timesensitive project; the Raspberry Pi 4 is a great choice. if you can wait and want the latest features, the Raspberry Pi 5 is worth it. It offers better performance
