Odroid XU4 issues with 4.1 Stable
-
@substring Yes, that launches just fine for me. I did notice that I had to go into the ScummVM GUI and force it to maintain the aspect ratio (by default it was stretching it). Also not a big deal but for some reason if you press any F keys on the attached keyboard you get a string of ^@^@^ at the top left of the screen..like the terminal background is showing through or something.
-
@jkno23 I've talked with memeka, that's something i'll dig later, though i don't see any benefits yet. Could you tell me why GBM is better than FBDEV ?
-
@aze yeah, the terminal is something complicated to handle with ARM GPUs ... Something to do with SDL I guess
-
@substring According to memeka FBDEV is stable under 3.10 Kernel and after switching to official odroids 4.9 Kernel the FBDEV becomes buggy. The stable (according memeka) alternative under 4.9 Kernel is DRM/KMS + GBM.
-
@jkno23 yeah, but crashoverride didn't look that convinced (look at the post i made in the GAMES AND EMULATORS subforum)
but of course if it works at least the same, i'll probably switch to it. But not yet if you don't mind

I saw the following in the changelogs but I still need to force usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e1:0x040 in the boot.ini file, otherwise only player 1 is recognized for the Xinmo dual arcade
- Add xin-mo 18pin, mayflash N64 and correction usbhid
hello @Substring beside the xinmo dual arcade issue still being faced, it still does not work at all in Moonlight => is it possible to include the latest 2.4.3 version in the builds as it includes SDL controls instead of the 2.2.2 that is quite old now ? Might help to solve the issue ? (PPSSPP works well with it finally but no luck in Moonlight). Congrats for the stable version and good luck in managing the feedbacks !
-
@grgohr Moonlight is the 2.3.0, the dev didn't b*mp the version number.
Regarding XU4 and moonlight, it has no hw acceleration, so ... ahem ... looks bad ...
Anyway, moonlight will be b*mped later because there have been some major changes in the pad configuration, need to rewrite the configgen.
Regarding xinmo, shouldn't be too hard to solve, i have to check a few things here and there first

d**n what's wrong ???
# cat /sys/module/usbhid/parameters/quirks (null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null)
whereas it should be full ...
edit: ok found the problem, will work on it

Hi everyone,
GlideN64mk2 works great with these parameters, thanks so much!Did someone have found a concrete solution about the ScummVM issues (black screen and back menu) on ODROID XU4??
Thanks, have a nice day
You do great work! -
@jimmy-truffaut yeah, found the solution : need to upgrade scummvm. If you are not patient, you need to recompile by yourself. @Cthulhus made it yesterday on pi and kinda detailled his steps (in french, sadly)

@aze said in Odroid XU4 issues with 4.1 Stable:
force_polygon_offset = True
@aze Where do I put this? Which file and where is it?
-
@marcdk said in Odroid XU4 issues with 4.1 Stable:
force_polygon_offset = True
You have to edit this file : /share/system/configs/mupen64/mupen64plus.cfg

@quenbo on last 17.12.02 you can also switch on gliden64 core
