Why only old mame release are supported?

Hi i'm not a programmer, and not too skilled with Linux distro, but why mame is still based on these old release (0.37b5 romset or 0.106 romset)? Rpi2 now is more powerful..why not recompile newer mame version? tnx for the info!

Hi, because mame is not optimized for the ARM cpus, that is why we still use iMame4all that have been heavily modified for this kind of cpu.

Why not add advmame? It use 0.106 romset more recent than the one used by imame4all

Because it was really REALLY slow when i tested it.

have you tried advmame also with rpi2? it seems working fine to me
