      Hello to all,

I'm using the last version of recalbox with rpi 3 and arcade pads.

I have 8 buttons so I configured A, B, X, Y, L, R, START, (SELECT, HOTKEY in the last button). With this configuration the system exits from games only pressing start button. However seems how hotkey button is not working.

      regards and thank you

        Hello
        Hotkey must be select button.
Do you try to remapp controllers in emulationstation menu.

Hello acris, Thanks for your quick reply.

I have tried to remapp a lot of times with the same result. However, if I don't map one button (the button I lke for select and hotkey) and map other button (e.g which was previously L) for select and hotkey. Then works and exit emulestation with hotkey + Start. But is not the button map I like.

I do not understand why this is happening. I have read the manual and forums but I have not found anything. Is it possible to modify it manually in a configuration file?

          Thanks for support

Are you sure your button (the one you want to assign to Select and Hotkey) works ?
Because if select/hotkey works with another button, it looks like your button is not working properly.
Did you try to assign this button to another command ? (like assigning it to A and then try if it works...)

Or maybe you should check your GPIO inputs ? are you sure you used the correct pin for your button ? (they are really near to each other). I had a similar problem where one of my buttons didn't work and it appeared i had not used the correct pin on the GPIO.

It is not very clever to assign the HK to buttons like A, B, X, Y etc. as these combos have functions and you'll be triggering those every time you press that single button. This is specially noticeable and annoyin when you assign the HK to the Start button, as you will be quiting the game by pressing Start.
As acris said, use Select. Personally I prefer L3, but if you don't have a full size controller (and even with it) Select will work fine.

Hello @neb I have connected the buttons to a USB controller, I don't use the GPIO pins.

When I configure the buttons I press the button and the system detect it so it seems to works. But tomorrow I try changing with another button. Anyway, don't you seem strange that I can exits only pressing one button (start)? I don't understand.

                  Vuelvo a plantear mi problema:
