Weird message at startup ==> normal ?
-
Good morning all,
I had a couple of issues (due to some heavy testing form my part) and I decided to start over with a brand new installation (recalbox 4.0.1 updated to 4.0.2).
I just noticed a message on top of the screen at startup, with the following lines :
[1.368269] brcmfmac: brcmf_c_prcinitdcmds: Firmware version = w10: May 27 2016 00:13:38 version 7.45.41.26 (r640327) FWID 01-df77e4a7
[1.368269] brcmfmac: brcmf_cfg80211_reg_notifier: not a ISO3166 codeI'm not quite sure I had those 2 lines before (but it's highly it's possible that I didn't pay attention...).
Seeing the 80211 (which I understand as 802.11), I'd think that it may be related to some wi-fi stuff.I'm feeling a bit stupid (especially if it's normal and I didn't pay attention before) but, are those messages normal ?
I would think that something may have gone wrong either during the re-installation or during update (which have could led to a wrong setup of the wifi drivers).I'm using a SanDisk Ultra micro-SD card (64 Gb), a RPi 3 that is currently wire-connected to my local network, power-supplied with the official power cord.
Here is a picture of the mentioned message :
Thank you all

Those lines are displayed before NOOBS starts, right ?

@Substring
Hello, sorry to ask : what is NOOBS in your vocabulary ?
I found out that it means New Out Of the Box Software but can't figure if it's a component of the OS itself or "only" a installation tool.This message appears every time I turn on the recalbox (since I reinstalled the 4.0.2, I didn't see if it appeared before the update, when it was still on 4.0.1).
It appears like when you start up your computer and the BIOS info appears for a few seconds, no other error message once Emulation Station is running.
Don't know if I answered your question here.
I realize that I didn't delete the installation files I got from there https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/releases, once it was installed. Should I have ?
The Wiki : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Installation-(EN) doesn't mention to do it, so I didn't delete those files from the SD card. -
@motenai79 This message is since we updated our version of NOOBS, nothing to worry about. Since 4.0.1 in fact

@Substring
Thanks.
And now I feel stupid for not having paid attention until now (je me drape dans ma honte et je rentre à ma maison...).I'm reassured that it's all normal anyway, thanks a lot !

@Substring
J'ai pris l'habitude de poster sur les forums en anglais parce que je me dis que ça peut toucher plus de monde (qui pourrait avoir les mêmes questions, et questions stupides parfois...)Encore merci pour ta réponse rapide et ta compréhension...
