[4.0.2][RPi3] No audio in ES and in-game, but Kodi has audio

Just updated from 4.0 to 4.0.2 and lost my audio in Emulation Station and all of my Retroarch emulators in-game. Checked ES menu, set to 100% and tried through both Auto and HDMI, still not working. Checked the recalbox.conf file, it's correct @ 100. Checked my R-Pi 3 /boot/config.txt file, hoping I forgot the hdmi_drive=1 comment out, and yes, it's uncommented out (to force HDMI audio out). Fired up Kodi 15.2 which is still running on Recalbox and it has audio and still works. Just game side. Argh! Oh well. Let me know if anyone has a solution. Thanks.
