[4.1-Unstable] Bug reports
-
@substring Since this latest update, I also lose sound after the intro video. I must toggle sound output between Auto and Jack or vice versa to bring it back. I have to do this on every bootup. Also the volume bar also changes, ie. might be 95 , then 97 on next boot.
-
@eclipse16g the volume indicator has always been moving on its own ...
regarding the sound, what is your usual audio output ? -
@substring I use the audio jack output, and I didn't notice the volume indicator moving before this last update, but I had no reason to go into the sound menu before either. This only happens with full shutdown or reboot. If I stop and start emulation station, the sound still works fine.
-
@eclipse16g mind making me a support archive with http://recalbox/help ? (add .local to recalbox if you're on linux/mac)

@RustyMG for the AppleII problems ... well, on the big job that rewriting the generation of the es_system.cfg, there were a few mistakes See by yourself :
<system> <fullname>Apple II</fullname> <name>apple2</name> <path>/recalbox/share/roms/apple2</path> <extension>.iso .ISO .gc .GC .gcz .GCZ</extension> <command>python /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/configgen/emulatorlauncher.pyc %CONTROLLERSCONFIG% -system %SYSTEM% -rom %ROM% -emulator %EMULATOR% -core %CORE% -ratio %RATIO%</command> <platform>apple2</platform> <theme>apple2</theme> <emulators/> </system> <system>
Extensions should be
.nib .NIB .do .DO .po .PO .dsk .DSK

@Substring sorry, i'm on vacations and can't confirm right now, i think audio is set to auto, and the speakers are plugged via jack to the raspberry pi 3. Sound works great til the update. I will return home next week and run more tests.
-
@Dwarf I should be able to diagnose with just your
~/logs/recalbox.log
-
@Substring here's my support archive https://file.ac/j9h8zEDrqdY/
-
@Substring I'm back!
If I change sound options fron auto to jack, sound start working again, but on next reboot sound is lost again...
Here is my recalbox.log:Thanx for the help!
-
@Dwarf well, i git quite f***** up this weekend at HFS3 on my pi using jack audio. So i can sadly reproduce the bug. Will try to sort it out asap

@Substring Hi, been away from the internet for a bit.
I had figured that out to be honest. Well, I just added in support for .dsk to see if that fixed it and that was good enough for the files I had, but thanks anyway!Regarding the latest unstable update, I followed the link and Ive had a look at what I THINK is the changelog, but the top entry doesnt have a date - it just has "## [Unrelease][unreleased]", and it also mentions :
Added support for vice 2.4.24. This means support for commodore c64 and other commodore systems- Added theme for commodore c64
- Added two demo ROMs for commodore c64"
But, Ive just updated to it and I see no c64 folder in the roms folder.
The next update date after "## [Unrelease][unreleased]" is "[4.0.0-beta5] - 2016-08-13", so can anyone confirm where / what IS the update log for the April 27th unstable update, and if c64 support is back? Many thanks.
-
@RustyMG C64 is not yet in this unstable version (27/04), the other day I was talking to IRC with @Substring about it and it is still on top of development, if I am not mistaken it is their highest priority.

I use a fresh install with 4.1.0-master-rpi3-2017-04-11 but psx doesn't work.
When i put the games (.bin) in the psx directory there is nothing in es.
When i make self a gamelist.xml there is showing nothing in es.How can i get work psx that is showing my games?
Tested and works:
NES
SNES
N64
Mega Drive
PSP -
@Piti this looks like a support problem, not a 4.1 bug.
-
I come from gamestarter plugin but do a fresh install of all.
On gamestarter there no problems with my games. On my Pi 2 with recalbox 4.0.2 all psx works fine
edit:
OK now its work.
I have to make my bin to pbp with PSX2PSP and now the games listen and i can play. -
@Piti you need a cue file with bin !
-
@Substring
Ahh ok, that is the case, i have only the bin in the directory.
But now i convert the games to pbp and i safe a little space. -
In 4.1.0-master-rpi3-2017-04-27-11-56-31-15156468 seems that the parameter o2em.configfile=/absolutepathtofile/my_o2emconfig.cfg does not work and retroarch don't load my own retroarch custom config for maganvox odyssey, retroarchcustom.cfg loads instead.

Hello
I don't know if it's only me however since last update 4.1 from end of April PPSSPP seems to crash more often.
I'm running a RPi3 OC to 1342.
Does anybody notice something strange? BTW, Where can I collect logs for PPSSPP
THX

@Pepe Can you try using odyssey2 instead of o2em ?
