Can someone talk me through the process of adding the "-surround" option to Moonlight on recalbox.
Another problem I have is whenever I quit a PC game being streamed via Moonlight it freezes (on PC and pi3) with nVidia Moonlight grey background. Is this is known bug? Is there a fix for this? I have to shutdown the task on the PC side before the screens return to normal.

The sutdown problem can happen sometimes. Don't know the steps to reproduce it, neither how to solve it. This happened to me a few times.
Concerning your option, have a look at the moonlight.conf in the configs/moonlight folder, it's easier than adding a parameter to the binary
Do you mean /recalbox/share/system/configs/moonlight/moonlight.conf ?

Am I pushing my luck by asking whether Retroarch games (MAME) can be output in 5.1 surround sound?
