On/Off Switch Possibility?

I have my rpi3 mounted inside an N64 Case.

I purchased one of these:

to go inside the case and give it a cleaner plug in look on the outside.

Would it be possible to splice this into that extension?:
http://vintagewireandsupply.com/toggle-switch-brass-plated/

Because you can shutdown the system from the ES menu I would just like the ability to switch the rpi3 off without having to unplug it
everytime.

I apologize if this is not the right section for this question but if anyone could help I would appreciate it.
