SFC30 Bluetooth isn't connecting after restart

I finally managed to connect my SFC30 to my RPi3B via bluetooth and it was working great but after come back to play the next day it looks like my rpi forgot everything and i had to do the pairing process all over again
is there a way to make it connect automatically every time i start the rpi?

You should restart your pad, and be patient that the recalbox detects it and connects to it. 8bitdo's are nice pads, but a real pain to manage ...

Make sure you start the pad by pressing R + START.
Mine take several minutes for the connection to be established; if the blue led turns off, start the pad again (same thing if the pad connects only within seconds: it's probably a bad sign =))
