I'm running recalbox 7.1.1 on a rasberry pi 3b, I'm able to pair 2 different bluetooth game controllers, but as soon as I select 'ok' in the 'successfully paired' notification...they won't work at all.

I've successfully used usb joysticks with this install. So I know recalbox works fine with usb controllers.

      Any ideas?

        @dapaze Hello!
I have had a similar problem with the PS4 controller.
I'll explain how I have done it.
I enter the retropie menu and choose bluetooth.
        I choose pair bluetoth
I disconnect the usb cable from the controller, the controller turns off, I press the Share button and without releasing I press the PS button until the light starts flashing rapidly.
On the screen you will see "connect the cable" do not do it, wait for the screen to pass and detect the controller.
Then you will see the controller and all available bluetooth devices.
Once chosen, my controller was not working, I used the keyboard to go back to Retropie, there you restart the emulator and then I had my bluetooth controller available, it is like a new controller, you have to adjust the buttons.

My controllers are xbox and stadia, they don't turn off when disconnecting the usb cable.

Both my controller names are showing in the "pair a bluetooth controller" and when I select them they say "paired". One of my controllers has a solid light, which means it is indeed connected to the raspberry pi bluetooth...it still doesn't work at all. Which means I can't configure them.

            Hi,

Sorry but we don't support previous versions.
Indeed since 7.1.1 (several years ago) we have made many improvements and fixes.

            Sincerely

            For the Recalbox team, Maax

            Bonjour,

Désolé mais nous n'effectuons pas de support sur les versions précédentes.
En effet depuis la 7.1.1 (il y a plusieurs années) nous avons apporté beaucoup d'améliorations et de correctifs.

            Recalboxment votre,

            M__a__a__x

I've updated recalbox to 9.1, hoping the update would fix this, it didn't. BUT what I actually think the issue is, is my game controller apparently needs a bluetooth dongle to plug in to the raspberry pi USB port. I found that info on the recalbox website. So I guess instead of relying on the raspberry pi bluetooth connection, it will use the dingle connection instead?

Won't those two bluetooth resources conflict with eachother?
