Cannot save Retroarch Configuration

I have RC 8.0 (PC Version). In the Retroarch Menu, I cannot save Configuration to "Retroarchcustom.cfg". There is an Error saying "Error saving changes to "Retroarchcustom.cfg". I want for example change the Language from Retroarch or switch Bezels for a specific system On/Off.

I can save Core/Folder/Game Options and Remappings but not general Settings like Language because of this Error.

@retroplayer88 I'm not sure if this is RC specific, but for RA, you have to close content first before you can save system wide config.
