Recalbox 7.2.2 Overclock
-
Hi all,
i have a GPI Case with Recalbox 7.2.2
Is there somewhere a menu for overlock as described in the wiki? Or is there another way to overklock?Best Regards

@zing : you mean with config.txt?
There i see the following:overclocking settings are automatically managed in this file
do not remove this line, nor edit the file
include recalbox-oc-config.txt
and in this file i see
No overclocking
But no clue what to enter here

That's what the documentation says, but you're right:
recalbox-oc-config.txt
The documentation is out of date and we are working on new documentation, so the information is not as accurate.
The correct file is recalbox-oc-config.txtWe can't provide accurate overclocking support, it's a risky procedure that the user needs to be aware of (and need to use heatsink at least in the case of GPI case that doesn't have space for a fan).
The best I found to help you is:

@zing Thanks for the link!
I totally understand that you can not provide here any tips and i am aware of the risk. But ok, at least i can loose 15€ for a new pi zero not nice but could be more
How is the usage of this file? Same parameters which i would put into config.txt?Thanks and Best regards

i am aware of the risk
I am always careful to make this very clear as some user may read this in the future and I don't want to be held responsible for trying to help someone...

“I am envious of you", unfortunately in my country these boards are much more expensive, so I only have an Rpi3.

Exactly, both the
recalbox-oc-config.txt
file and therecalbox-user-config.txt
file have the "same usage" as theconfig.txt
file, with the difference of keeping the values after a system update (the config file .txt is updated along with the system and loses all customizations). -
@zing 15€ is only for Pi Zero. The other ones are also much more expensive. Here i am much more carefull. This pains a bit
thanks for your help! -

Yes, it’s under “Advanced Settings”. I think that’s the name….I promise it says “Advanced” somewhere at least
