Going back to Recalbox-Menu from any emulator using controller (not keyboard)

Hi again, something that bothers me since I tried recalbox: I can't leave an emulated system, without using the "ESC" button on my attached keyboard. Since it's a tiny multimedia-keyboard (it's slightly bigger than a smartphone), I can use it and put it away afterwards with no problem, but isn't there like a multi-button shortkey to leave the emulator? Or a function which I could map to a controller-button (like the PS-Button, which is kinda useless ingame, anyway) to leave the emulated system, back to the recalbox-menu? Any help is appreciated! hotkey + start. always been there. in plain sight. in the official manual.

I'm sure I pressed that combination and it didn't work, even though I mapped the hotkey-button to the PS-button earlier. Probably, I made a mistake and I'll try it again. Thank you.
