Hello,

Why is fw 6.0 on the raspberry pi zero w so laggy?
The menue is very laggy and I’ve tried SNES but is not playable. Very laggy and the sound is Horror.
I will buy next month the retroflag gpi case and I would make the card ready.
I tried Retropie and it run better.

@einklinker Hi, most of SNES roms are not playable on a rpi0w. This card is not powerfull enough to get a valuable experience of the snes emulator.
Concerning the V6.0 of the OS, i haven't tried yet, but your feed-back is interesting me as i'm planning, like you, to acquire the GPi case in a close future. The OS is laggy ? Did u install a theme or are u using the original one ?
Concerning the emulated systems, which ones did you test ?

@scavy the os 6.0 is clean installed and the menue is laggy. I have tried with overclocking but not good, the restart have a problem and you become a message from os “up to date” and nothing happen.
The SNES have a game installed named donkey kong on os 6.0 and the game is laggy. Another haven’t try because the menue is to laggy for me. I think RetroPie is better for zero and the os 4.1 can’t find in the web for zero.

try to disabled : popup music, 720p screen
no used rewind and try other core.

@acris i have tried and overclocked with 950 mhz and the start need 1:38:40. The menue is slow and maybe you have an older version for zero to test it?
