Nothing outside of Retroarch is saving

Hello,

I am new to Recalbox (running 6.0) and am having a problem with any changes I make saving.
In particular scraping roms, adding favorites or even changing what emulator they use does not save after reboot or restart.
Any changes I make to a game within Retroarch sticks, but nothing in the main Recalbox menu.
It's basically a blank slate every time I restart.

I tried a fresh reinstall and that did not change anything either.
I am running this on an Odroid XU4.

My apologies for my inexperience, but hope someone can help.

I would just like to add that apparently this is only happening in the FBA and Mame cores.
I was able to add to favorites or save changes to metadata from other cores just fine.
