No favourites when using metadata

Hi, not sure if I am doing something wrong but I had a stack of favourite games stared in the frontend (which is a great feature) but then I added box art and metadata. Now in this new view i no longer have my selected favourites and I can't add/remove any. It just doesn't do anything. thanks

so you scraped some data ? with which method ?

I scraped the games and copied them over from my pc like this Recalbox scraper

Hmm, just tried it again and favourites are working. Maybe I didn't stop the emulation process properly or something before copying over the metadata.
