6 button controller

Hey guys,
I'm coming from Retropie and was playing around with Recalbox. How do I set up my 6 button MegaPi controller for all of the Sega games in the emulator? I already set it up per the instructions on the back of the box. But it's not registering them in the game.

@zachstep I did not understand what kind of setup you tried to do, did you map the control on Emulationstation and tried to set it up in Retroarch?
