RecalBox not working properly

So I´ve got recalbox on a USB installed in order to use it on my laptop, the issue here is that after booting correctly ANY ROM that I open just makes the computer freeze and I have to restart it.
Things that I´ve tried:
-Reinstall it several times
-Try different USB´s
-Try different images of this software
-Try my own ROMs

Nothing has changed yet hope you guys can help me!!!

@jimybassy Specify make and model of your laptop maybe recalbox drivers are not compatible with it

Hi,
Can you test your key on another computer ?
If that works, thé problem may be your computer

Look for the file retroarchcustom.cfg and change the value of input_joypad_driver from udev to sdl2
