I played 1944 game on different MAME LIBRETRO cores : MAME0.78(2003) - MAME2003PLUS - MAME2010
Controls are not the same
To be clear I have 3 full complete rom set.Any chance to remap controls on core MAME2003 PLUS and MAME2010 based on MAME2003.
Controls configured for MAME2003 are the most usefull.

@olivierdroid92 definitely not. That‘s something the core manages and for thousands of roms and different cores it is practically impossible to achieve.

Hello there!
First of all, thank you for all that work, u are awesome.
I just bought a a raspberry 3b+ and installed the beta on it. I found 2 issues:- Favorites are not "remembered" when you reboot. Always forgotten by recalbox when you restart, even if you don't choose the fast shutdown.
- Moonlight seems to have a problem with the 3.16 version of Geforce. It's a known issue, that some programmers did solve by compiling again Moonlight with some code correction :lien vers github. But for those who are not familiar with coding, there is no available solution.
Thank u for reading this.

Hello,
I want to play with 4:3 ratio, because for me, the only one solution, I dont like 16:9 at my retro games. That is the reason why I need overlays, it looks much nicer for me, without black space at the left and right side.
But it doesnt work. Here what I did:
snes.cfg
path: recalbox\share\system\configs\retroarch\snes.cfg
content of snes.cfg:
input_overlay = "/recalbox/share/system/configs/retroarch/overlays/snes_overlay.cfg"
snes_overlay.cfg
path: "/recalbox/share/system/configs/retroarch/overlays/snes_overlay.cfg"
content of snes_overlay.cfg:
overlays = "1"
overlay0_overlay = "snes.png"
overlay0_full_screen = "true"
overlay0_descs = "0"
snes.png
path: "/recalbox/share/system/configs/retroarch/overlays
Can anybody help me? where is the error? Or a Bug of the beta version of recalbox?
Thanks in advance
PS: Yes I know the manual: https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Retroarch-setup-overlays-(EN)
I did every step within the chapter Overlays by system

Bisous

I downloaded the version from here but every time I start again it does not save the changes and I always have to reconfigure
-
@mantics Do you mean changes of metadata (gamelists, favorites,...)?
In this case, just wait for new beta or final release.
It's a known issue and developers have written that it's even fixed already on their side but not released yet. -
ok, thank you.

Hello. Excuse me if here it is not the place to post this.
Could you please add the controller layout images for:
Atari 5200
Fairchild
Intellivision
WonderSwan ColorThe controller layout of rest of systems is very useful with kids. Thanks.
-
@mantics If you want to have something stable while waiting, then go for batocera. It is not so cool like recalbox but at least it is stable with pi3+ since a couple of releases. I think recalbox stable release for pi3+ will probably still take some time. Or if you want to help with the recalbox beta, then you are more than welcome to send here every bug you find

Hello guys. Great job.
I turn on christmas beta
I do not arrives to running the roms Intellivision. Tested with different roms (different games, different format). Always black screen.
Emulator problem? An idea?
Thanks

Hello everyone,
Here is my report on Pi3b+, 8bitdo sf30 pro with internal Bluetooth and HDMI output.
Don't want to add anything about the "gamelist.xml", hashes or the Wi-Fi issues, just about 2 new cores :-
Intellivision ("FreeIntv" core) : many graphical glitches with almost all the games using scrolling and sprites. The screen is shaking when scrolling and/or sprites do not appear. For example, try "Auto Racing" (screen shaking when scrolling), "Commando" (screen flashing when scrolling), "Centipede" (bullet's sprites not visible), "Defender" (enemy's sprites do not appear)... I've checked ALL the games in GoodINTV set, at least 50 games are totally glitched and make the emulator useless. All the needed BIOS files are here and checked by Recalbox Manager. I don't know if this is caused by the implementation in the Beta Release, or by the emulator itself...
-
Atari 5200 : emulation seems to work fine, but the original A5200 controller's numeric keys mapping is impossible. So, it is impossible to launch a game asking a number of players or level and some in-game actions are not possible. I've tried to manage directly with the ".atari800.cfg" file without succes.
There is a virtual keyboard included in the Atari800 emulator that you can pop on screen (sometimes - seems to be buggy ???), but it doesn't work and inputs nothing at all in-game...
I know that you can use the Recalbox Manager's virtual keyboard (and it's working great !), but in my opinion, it's not a practical way for "gamepads only" setups (like for the Odyssey²/Videopac core)... -
Fairchild (Channel F) : Working great with the entire fullset !
PS : with the new Christmas Beta, Superpi Case's swithes are working fine natively, without Retroflag scripts And no problem at all with my 8BitDo SF30 pro wireless...
I hope it helps, and thank you guys for the time you spend on this great OS.

-
@cascav : you need the 2 BIOS files "exec.bin" (CRC32 : CBCE86F7) and "grom.bin" (CRC32 : 683A4158) in your "share/bios" folder.
-
@harko Thanks Works fine

Really? I had to install the script as usual to get it working... (https://github.com/RetroFlag/retroflag-picase)

I found this in Libretro documentation, I hope can help you with Intellivision an Faircild Channel:
GamePad functions for Intellivison:
Controls:- Mini-Keypad - allows the user to view and select keys from a small Intellivision pad in the lower corner of the display.
- Controller Swap - Some Intellivision games expect the left controller to be player one, others expect the right controller. This isn't a problem if you have two controllers (and don't mind juggling them) but users with only one controller or using a portable setup would be effectively locked out of some games. Controller Swap swaps the two controller interfaces so that the player does not have to physically swap controllers.
D-Pad: 8-way movement
Left Analog Stick: 16-way disc movement
B: Left Action Button
A: Right Action Button
Y: Top Action Button
X: Use the last selected keypad button.
L/R: Shows in screen the Mini-Keypad, you can select keypad button.
Start: Pause
Select: Show in screen the controller swap
GamePad functions for Fairchild Channel F:
Console button overlay:
-Access to the console buttons is provided via an overlay. Pressing 'start' on either controller will display the console buttons. You can select a button by moving left and right and press the button with any of the face buttons (A, B, X, Y). Pressing 'start' a second time will hide the overlay.
Controls: - Console Overlay - allows the user to view and select console buttons.
- Controller Swap - Controller Swap swaps the player 1 and player 2 controllers.
D-Pad Up, Left-Analog Up: Forward
D-Pad Down, Left-Analog Down: Backward
Y, L, Right-Analog Left: Rotate Left
A, R, Right-Analog Right: Rotate Right
X, Right-Analog Up: Pull Up
B, Right-Analog Down: Push Down
Start: Show/Hide Console Overlay
Select: Controller Swap
I didn't find anything for the Atari 5200. Do you recommend use a keyboard instead of a gamepad?
