Unsolved 1907 fp dell monitor will not work I need help

i have tried a lot of things to get my raspberry pi 3 b to work with this monitor on recallbox but it only produces sound out of my speakers that are connected through 3.5 audio jack im using a hdmi to dvi d adapter .
i have researched this for about three days and still cant figure it out i have looked on this site raspberry forums and even github please help. if you have any questions about my situation or have the same problem or know what to do please help or try at least.
