laggy main menu (x64)

Hello,
I have a small problem with Recalbox.
My HTPC is a Dell Optiplex XE with the following specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon r7 240
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3GHz
2x 2GB sticks of DDR3 RAM (I think 1066)

My main menu looks like a 0-2 FPS slideshow, same problem with emulation.

hm okay, is there a way to install the driver manually?

Or is it just try & error?

@joinski that's a mix of kernel version + nvidia drivers version
