Before the update that enabled internal Bluetooth (4.1, maybe?), I was using a Bluetooth dongle to connect my PS3 controller to my Raspberry Pi 3 for Recalbox gaming. At that time, the controller would automatically disconnect from the Pi after 10ish minutes of no input. I'm not sure if this was a function of Recalbox or the dongle, but it was a welcome feature.

Since that update, the PS3 controller stays connected until I power off the Pi, or—more often—until the battery dies on the controller.

I tried disabling the internal Bluetooth in the config file but that disables the dongle as well.

      Any suggestions?

@elephantrock I believe you can hold the PS Button for about 10 secs to turn it off.
