USB-Trackball does not work in MAME (Centipede, Missile Command, ...) after update

Hi all,
after the last update to Recalbox (Pi3 - RB Emulationstation V4.1.0-DEV) my USB-Trackball does not work in Mame (other systems not tested so far). It works in KODI and it worked before this update. I think it is a simple switch in a configuration file but I do not have an idea how to fix it.
Any suggestions?
