External USB-WiFi Dongle TP-Link TL-WN822N not working
-
Hello
I use Recalbox v4.10 on a RPi3. I bought a TP-Link TL-WN822N USB Wifi adapter, since it is listed in the compatibility matrix, but it does not work. It seams like no driver is loaded in Recalbox since the LED on the Wifi adpater never lights up.I have the internal (on board) Wifi adapter blacklisted like described.
I'm not a Linux guru, so I hope someone can help me.
Here the output of dmesg:[ 1.997721] usb 1-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 5 using dwc_otg

There are several posts around having trouble with other TP-Link adapters, like the WN823N. They somehow come to the conclusion that there seams to be something wrong with the driver and its Vendor- or ProductID (idVendor=2357, idProduct=0108).
I choosed this Wifi adapter because a weak signal from my Wifi access point. I got other Wifi adapters running (e.g. Edimax EW-7811UN) but I hoped to get more troughput with the new TP-Link dongle...
Hope anyone can help me trough here?
Would be very graceful.Regards
