Just letting you guys know that if you're going to block me from looking at your store with Adblock I'm not interested in your product at all.
-
@akadajet There are absolutely no ads on the recalstore only amazon links because we doesn't sell product we just listing all compatible hardware, and amazon links are automatically blocked by adblock...
-
@mikaxii They aren't with uBlock, at least. I can look at other sites that have Amazon links (with referrer) and they aren't scrubbed.
For reference, the site I'm looking at is https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/september/2017/

@akadajet
Below, logs of my uBlock origin plugin.As you see only link to amazon was blocked (and google analytics/facebook but we don't care about it).
We use amazon's widget, and that widget are blocked no direct link (I think).I repeat we never use ads on all our product (website, recalbox-os, our blog).

@rockaddicted said in adblock:

indeed that is the reason
Both @rockaddicted and @MikaXII are right. I also experienced adblock problems with the recalstore because of adblock.

@mikaxii Okay. That makes more sense. With the kind of message you are displaying it's going to look to most people like you are actively punishing them for using an ad blocker. Unfortunately a lot of sites do this.

I'd recommend ditching the Amazon widget and just using referrer links for a better experience if it's possible.
Sorry about sounding alarmist.

@akadajet but I agree with you the message can be more explicit
