Initial Setup Config not shown on main menu
-
@joejsorrells i just don't understand anything about which option seems.missing ...
-
@substring So one of the youtube videos shows the recalbox emulator with just a few games. He then click on the "CONFIG" option on the main menu with the other emulators like NES SNES... Once he got into the config he clicked on "reset". Once it loaded back up it had almost 3000 games. So I attempted to perform this but there is not a "Config" option on the main menu.

@joejsorrells did you even bother reading the description of the video ? that thing is not a blank recalbox it seems to be heavily modified
-
Yes and seemed like everything was in the download. I guess I'm a little new and ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

Sorry but we don't do support on a no official recalbox version.
These "features" are not our own.And don't forget recalbox is a full linux, connected to your network... So don't download the first recalbox image you can find on internet. You don't know what kind of modification has been done in the OS.
Only official images provided on our website are safe. -
Ok thats perfectly fine and more than willing to use the content that recalbox uses and this forum supports. I'm still learning how to setup this RPi3 and experiencing difficulties. Can you help me out with a couple of questions?
- When downloading the recalbox OS there are 4 downloads available:
recalboxOS-4.0.1.zip
OS-4.0.1.zip.sha1
Source code (zip)
Source code (tar.gz)
- Do I need to download all of these and copy them to the SD card?
- Do the downloads provided come with more than the 1 or 2 games when you first boot from the SD Card? Or any additional ROMs need to be downloaded separately? I Keep going through the manual but having a little trouble making sense of some of it.

@joejsorrells you just need the first link, the biggest
-
Then all of the ROMs need to be downloaded separately?
-
We can't provide copyrighted files (ROMs, bios, etc...).
So it is your part of the job to add them.
To help you, check our official YouTube channel. There is how to videos, in French, but you can enable subtitles on them.
That should help you to start. -
That sounds great thank you!!
