      @Pablo-Macaluso it has definitely nothing to do with an encrypted password ...

              @Substring

              This is happening in a rpi that my brother-in-law recently bought, it is as if the recalbox were lost in the correct password of the wifi network, and worse, I put the current one and the system does not connect in the wlan and when I go to see the password there is another one Password fully encrypted it within the ES.

              and is the latest unstable version that has been installed.

                  @Pablo-Macaluso

                  I solved it paleatively as follows, in recalbox.conf I went to wifi.key = and erased all the encrypted password and entered the correct password. I saved, I rebooted the rpi via manager and it was back up and running again.

                  @Substring

                  This error occurred because I had configured everything through my router and when my brother-in-law took the rpi to his house, and when he changed the SSID and his key, he presented this bug.

                      I have the same issue again and again, the password ist suddenly altered to something else, looks like encrypted but could also just be some cache overflow? sometimes it starts with "enc:" followed by 44 random chars...
                      After overwriting with the correct wifi-key, it's currently sufficient to exit and re-enter the menue and the password is altered agin. It is impossible to continue like this, so i will have to re-attach it to a cable 😞
                      Maybe when changing the config-file manually it works again.

                        @pops the enc: is intended for security purpose. Recalbox knows how to decode it and wifi does work

                          Thanks, I thought so. But the issue remains, the wifi won't work anymore after a few restarts. Or when entering into Kodi it suddenly stopps working. I have to reset it manually, sometimes once every 2 weeks, sometimes with each restart.

                            @pops The Kodi Version of Recalbox sucks, try installing Libreelec + Recalbox 😉
