Solved Problem with multiplayer in some games
-
Hi!
My problem is that at some games, in specific, Diablo, the system cant read any controller conected. At others games it doesnt happen, like street fighter or kof... I tried to set witch is the player 1 and the player 2 in "controller settings" but it wasnt effective. How can i fix it?
Im using the 4.0 recalbox's version, and using the psx platform!

Recalbox 4, sorry! Thanks.

What platform, my friend?

I don't have the game, but it is better that you give the exact name of the game you are talking about. What format it is, region, everything that could lead to an answer. Sometimes one region has problems and the other doesn't.
There is someone on the french forum having the same problem:
https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/5314/diablo-sur-psx-bloqué-au-menuYou can try deactivating the analog sticks on retroarch (if they should for any reason be activated), or activating them if not and see what happens. It might also be that the emulator can't handle that game.

Ok, how i change this in retroarch, im really new in this system and really dont know what it is.
As u said, this game, in the real console, wasnt compatible with analogics controllers... I think this is the problem, but how i turn off this? -
Can you please tell me exactly what version of the game you have? Extension, region, everything!

Open the Recalbox menu (Hotkey+B) under Quick Settings>Options select the gamepad type.
-
By default, Pad 1 is on standard, but you can try to put in on analog and see if the controller works.

it doesnt work.

Ok, just tested it. There is no need to change anything, although the game has no problem if the analog is activated or not. It is just a matter of having the right rom.
-
@paradadf I concurr, works fine for me and besides, psx emulator is supposed to use digital pad by default, not analog

I tried all the roms and always the same problems. I dont know what i have to do...

I would bet you didn't installed recalbox yourself, right?
That's the f*** problem with those scumbags who sell a free software "pre-configured" and at the end those buyers come here asking for support!
If that is your case, make a clean installation. Backup the roms if you want, but please, make a clean installation and everything will work! -
Actually I didnt buy this. I installed by my own and now I fix this problem. Its a Bios problem. Its just a matte to put the psx bios in the recalbox's Bios folder (/recalbox/share/bios)
-
When you don't have the proper bios file, the psx emulator gives you a warning when starting every game. Didn't you get that?
-
Yes, but when I started the games my tv was hiding this message. When I put the system into another tv I saw this message.
