Kodi lockup on ODroid XU4, take 2

This time, it's locking up on me with the CEC error, connected to HDMI port 1 of my TV, and I deleted the CEC file on my XU4 unit, and it's still having problems (I even double checked the USB drive, it's not there, same problems).

Hardkernel Odroid XU4
4.1.0 (Alpha 2) OS revision
Dual Shock 3
USB 3.0 external drive

I submitted an issue on Github before and got it to work, went back to that closed thread to try to recreate the solution there, no dice. I'm leaving that one closed because I think it might be something else (also not ruling out user error here either).

@Substring What do you mean? Should I go into the file with a text editor and change the cec_hdmi value from "1" to "0"? or should I just delete the file altogether?

I have no idea how cec or kodi work, even less how they work together. But i'd disable cec

So I take it Kodi is broken until further notice and I can't use it in the alpha revisions of the OS until OpenELEC releases a revision?

Be patient, the only one who knows how to handle that is busy irl atm

More than happy to be patient. turns off Kodi and enjoys ES in the meantime
