PSX BIOS von Emu nicht erkannt, (BIOS CHECK i.O.)

Hallo liebe Community

Ich weiss, es gibt schon viele Beiträge zum Thema PSX Bios.

Nur scheint keiner meine Problematik zu behandeln:

Habe mehrer PSX BIOS Files in den BIOS Ordner geschoben. Alles in Kleinbuchstaben (z.b.: scph5501.bin)

Habe auchbsxhon BIOS Files von 3 verschiedenen Quellen getestet.

Im BIOS-Check Menu werden diese auch Tadellos erkannt, leider aber nicht von den beiden Emulatoren.

Der Eine startet gar nicht und wirft einen Fehler, daß die scph5501.bin fehlt, der Andere startet mit dem Hinweis daß das originale BIOS fehlt und es für eine bessere Kompatibilität benötigt wird.
Und ja, viele Spiele hängen sich immer wieder auf und sind so praktisch unspielbar.

Habe die neueste 7.1.1 reloaded software auf nem pi 4 mit 8gb Ram am laufen und die Games und bios-files auf nem 128 GB 3.1 USB-Stick. Funktioniert auch tadellos bei
allen Systemen ausser eben bei PSX.
Okay nicht ganz. Bei der Dreamcast habe ich ähnliche Probleme. PSX wäre mir aber am wichtigsten.

Wenn jmd. Rat dazu hat wäre ich sehr dankbar.

Did you build your Recalbox yourself, or download a ready-made image from the internet, or did you buy everything ready?

Please, to confirm that your BIOS is correct, check the internal BIOS checker, accessible from the Emulationstation menu, by pressing START on the console selection screen, all PSX BIOS must have a green thumb.

Hi. thanks for your answer.

My system is pi 4 with 8gb ram with pre-build iso version 7.1.1 reloaded of recalbox.

Roms and bios are on a 3.1 usb-stick with 128 gb.

In the bios-checker every psx bios appears green with thumb up. Md5 check is also good.
But if i start a psx rom. It always appears a message, that no bios file is found.
I also tried different sources for the psx-bios files. But the problem stays the same. Most psx isos crash after a while with one emulator, with the other just a white screen apears with text, that scph5501.bin file is missing
But in the bios checker, it seems to be good.

I have no clue what the problem could be.

Sorry, but, what do you mean by that? I understand that you downloaded a ready-made image from the internet, and if that is the case, this is probably the problem: it is not possible to know what has been modified in these ready-made images from the internet.
Furthermore, the distribution of ready-made images from Recalbox is illegal, and, considering all this, the Forum does not support this type of image (because as I said: besides being illegal, there is no way to know what has been modified).

Download the latest official version of Recalbox and test:

I think you misunderstood me.
I use the latest official recalbox image version "7.1.1 reloaded" from the recalbox-site, which came out in November.

@Whim Test this:

• Do a Clean install the of the latest version of Recalbox
• Do not use your usb-stick
• Copy your PSX BIOS (only PSX BIOS) and only 1 of the games you are having problems
• Check the EmulationStation menu to see if your BIOS is recognized
• Test the game

What happens?
