Solved screenscraper.fr is back to work, but Internal Skraper no - RB 7.0.1 - RPI 3B+

Hi guys, I finally noticed that the fantastic https://www.screenscraper.fr is back to work, in fact I can do the Skraper from a PC, but not internally in Recabox 7.0.1, why?

Scrapper fails on my RB 7.0.1

You need to register user.
Create account user and edit recalbox.conf

But it wont work for me.

the servers are overloaded on weekends.

I got it to work a few days ago using user and pass, but it crashes very often, if I'm lucky, scraps a couple of hundreads, but eventually I get "Error saving resized image. Out of memory? Disk full?". I still have plenty of gigs on my disk. Running 6.1.1 Dragonblaze on a PI3B+. Is anybody else having this issue? Thanks in advance!

it doesn't work for me, it says scrape finished, completed... but all games are not found... hmm

@FoLeY emails are no longer sent. I registered and got an account working without the email step. Login with the credentials you registered with, and will work.

@acris no support because 7.0.1 is out? I tried it, and honestly, I felt performance issues on my 3b+, and some games (like Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes in Neo Geo) stopped working, that's why I went back to 6.1.1.

Hi all,

same problem here! What I know, screenscraper.fr and its API is blocked for non-registered users up to now.

The hint with the recalbox.conf to add user credentials (from registration at screenscraper.fr) helps a lot in order to call the API as registrated user, which I will try. Thanks!

The status update to the API on screenscraper.fr says:

"The API is closed to all anonymous users (not registered for free on ScreenScraper) for now.
The CPU occupancy rate of the main server seems very high."

I think, that their new setup with loadbalancing still does not work, since CPU1 = 84% and CPU2 = 12%... (ideally it should be 50%/50%) but I don't know their internals.
