Can't boot after flashing to SD card
-
I downloaded the
.img
file from here, which is the correct one for my situation. So after flashing the
img
file to an SD card via the recommendedetcher
program, I insert it into my laptop's SD card slot and boot into it. After selecting the option to boot into RecalBox on the screen that pops up (with two options), I black screen appears with a blinking cursor, and does nothing after that. After having waited for a while to see if it was just being slow, I decided to reboot and select the "verbose" option at the boot screen. It shows the boot process, and all seems to go well up until a certain point, at which it starts saying this:
mount: mounting LABEL=RECALBOX on /new_root failed: No such file or directory
Waiting for the root device
Then it just keeps repeating it over and over, and does nothing else.
Here are some specs of the machine that I am trying to run this on:
- HP EliteBook 840 G2
- i5-5300U CPU
- Intel HD Graphics 5500
- 8 GB of DDR3 memory
If there is any other info that I can provide, please let me know, I would be more than happy to give it!

@OMGdaDPS Can you try to flash the system on a hard drive?
Installation on sd and usb stick is strongly discouraged on Pc.
Please give us a return -
Hey! Thank you for responding! How would I do that though? Is there a live image somewhere that I can download?

Please give us a returnThe reason I ask this is because there are literally only two ways to install according to the Github page in english. One is for the Pi, which doesn't apply to me, and the other is to flash the image to an SD card or USB stick (using win32diskimager) and booting into it (I guess, as it doesn't really say much)
Here are the instructions I am referring to.
