PPSSPP HOTKEY

HOTKEY does not work in PPSSPP by control, I had to add a keyboard to go to the PPSSPP menu, is this a control or configuration problem?
I did not find anything in the manual about it, my control is a model of the ps2 USB generic, HOTKEY works in ps1 games for example, but not in PPSSPP.
