[Resolved] Black border despite overscan
-
Hello, I installed today Recalbox on my Raspberry Pi 2. Everything works fine but I can only use a part of my screen (an Acer V193 B) : (Image is attached) The screen is connected with a hdmi-to-DVI-Adapter. Changing the overscan-Settings in the config doesn't solve the problem of the black margin (on the left of the pink line). I have already reinstalled Recalbox but again the same issue. Changing the settings of the screen also doesn't help. It sounds a bit like https://github.com/digitalLumberjack/recalbox-os/issues/266 I wonder if anybody has a solution or a idea what I could do? Thank you very much! With best regards Felix

Maybe your HDMI output is to hi for your screen. You have to reduce the resolution in the config.txt. Here is a little explanation. https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt.md Try to set a non 16:9 Format resolution. I Hope that helps

First try to change the driver : https://github.com/digitalLumberjack/recalbox-os/wiki/Connect-your-recalbox-to-a-DVI-screen-(EN) Next if it still fail, try other resolutions You have a second issue, your power supply is not providing enought power (rainbow square)

Changing the driver solved the issue! Thank you very much! I'll get another power supply for a usb-port/a powered usb-hub, didn't know that the rainbow square indicates a lack of power.
