ATARI ST emulator hangs Recalbox

I've not been using the ST core for a while, but have just setup a fresh new system and running the latest recalbox stable release, and given the st core a go!

If i press X on the joypad (8Bitdo SF30 pro or N30 Pro) the screen image shifts up as if i were accessing the L2 menu but the entire system just hangs dead - my only option is reset my RPi

has anyone else encountered this issue, is it a known problem with the latest release or the hatari core?

I looked on Gitlab and see no issues raised for this...
